Played this game on my multi for a good hour tonight...Damn near forgot about it..Had it on intelivision back in the day...

I had never played that game until a friend came over a couple of months ago. That was the first time he played my MAME cab. "Do you have Ladybug?" were the first words out of his mouth. He was a happy camper playing until his wife made him go home. :)

I remember playing it back in the day at ShowBiz pizza.Essentially a Pac-Man clone, but still an enjoyable and underrated game IMO.

Lady Bug

My girl friend loves the game and once you understand how to play its quite addictive. Her current high score is 278,310 (level 17) mine is 243,580(level 15). I like the fact that the game only allows you to complete 3 boards before giving the other person a turn.

One of my favorites On the colecovision. Probably get hell for this, but I think it plays better than the Pac games. I just think there is more things to do. Trying to time the color change for the letters is tough. Bonus garden frame is cool too.

Been trying to track one down locally, but hard to find in this area. It is on the 48-1, but the original cab is pretty unique.

I don't know for sure that the bonus garden frame is on the dedicated cabinet. I spelled special on my 60 in 1 and just got a bonus frame.

Ladybug totally kicks Pacman's ass, I'm going to get a 60-in-1 and it's about half the reason why. I used to have it for Colecovision, and it was the one game my parents would play.

I had a dedicated upright Ladybug for a while that was in need of restoring. I never did restore the cabinet, and then just wound up giving the game away to a friend. :(

I love Lady Bug. I picked up a working dedicated upright for $150 about a year and a half ago. Still have to figure out what I'm gonna do to restore it.

Nice to see I'm not alone, not sure I've seen a deticated cab in the last 20 years. Would be nice to play a original.

Lady Bug was one of the first dedicated games I got. Great game. One of the few vids that allows you to win credits by spelling out SPECIAL.

I also like it because it gets progressively harder until you can't play it any longer. So to get a truly good score, you need to get as money points as possible at the low levels as you can, because once you get up there in the levels, it is all about survival.

I think I broke 300K back in the day, and would be hard pressed to get there these days.

If you like Lady Bug, try Space Panic. Very similar in a lot of respects.

Ladybug is excellent.

As Pacray mentioned, the arcade version gives the player a free credit when SPECIAL is completed. Credits weren't needed for the ColecoVision version, so they added the "vegetable harvest" bonus screen instead.

I think calling LadyBug a Pac-Man clone is like calling Mega Man a Super Mario Bros. clone. ;)

There's one that just got listed in Fallbrook. I'm assuming it's the same one. I'm thinking of going to look at it.
