Ladies and gentlemen, the most dependable, unjammable and cheapest coin mech is:

A toilet paper cardboard tube.

No, im not kidding. I just picked up an area 51 site 4 with an over/under coin door. One coin slot taped shut.. no mech there.. i get to looking at the other side, FRICKIN TOILET PAPER TUBE!!

They basicallt made a cut vertially up the tube, folded it kind of like a hard taco shell, its wider at the top and with one piece of scotch tapem, taped closer togther at the bottom.

Beautifully simple, virtually free, and ive pumped over 100 tokens through with no jams or "jump-outs"

Pics to come soon. Simple and brilliant, why the eff did i never think of this?

Ok so i just built another off of this one. You use the full length tube. Cut a slice down the length of it. Gently fold it in half but only crease the folded part on one end.

You then cut somewhere around 1.1" off of each side(lengthwise). Then tape the creased end shut, but be careful to leave a small gap!! Don't pinch the two sides totally togther.

You then stick this in the mech, use the lockbar to pinch it in place at the top, the folded bottom part sits right in the gap where the coin switch is, tada, jam free coin mech.

Im assuming if you didnt have the coin mech lockbars you could so something simular with one coin mech screw put in the top hole and a washer or piece of metal with a hole drilled in it and pinch the cardboard in place that way.

What would you do for non over/under doors? Dont have a clue yet.

last pic thanks to the stupid f***ING picture limits.

Like the digital caliper??? HEHE..

If somebody would make these ouf of some soft metal like sheet aluminum or even plastic with an eyelet at the top where they could either be pinched in place or screwed in place, and offer them for like $5, i think alot of people would buy them.

These will work for some games, but not all. Bally Games, Stern Games and if I remember correctly Gottliebe games will have issues. The coin goes too fast through it and won't register a credit.

Should work fine in Atari, Williams, Taito, and Sega though.

I found a mech like that one. But mine had field upgrades:
