It looks like I've got a board for this coming and I was wondering if there ever was a dedicated cab for it or was it strictly a kit? I'm pretty sure it was the latter.

I know there was a marquee for it but did it also have a bezel, CPO and side art? If so anyone have pics?

I was lucky enough to have had this rare oddity come through my local arcade when I was a kid and played the heck out of it, it's a fun beat'em-up and I'm surprised it didn't get a wider release.

Kyros was kit-only AFAIK

The board I'm getting is a bootleg and I think all the custom chips are reproducible, so given how rare the game is I'm thinking of making some gerber files for people if they want to repro one for themselves. Anyone interested? Assuming I do it I won't be doing a run of boards myself, I'll just make the files public, that'll be my only involvement.

Also if someone can get me some close ups of the CP stickers and instructions I may try to do something with them.

World Games only released kits best I know. They seemed to pick up games that other companies passed on bringing over here. My memory is a bit toast anymore, but off the top of my head they brought over The Deep (Wood Place) renamed to Run Deep, Lost Castle in Dark Mist (Taito), Exterminator (Taito), Kuri Kinton (Taito), Kyros (ADK), and Ninja Kid II (UPL) renamed to Rad Action. Kyros is hilarious to me. I bought a board off of here years ago with a marquee.

Yeah it is kind of a goofy game, there's a fair amount of stuff to find in it too like things on the walls you can punch which do things like kill or change everyone on the screen, and I think Dracula's laugh is a sound clip of Vincent Price. Any chance of me getting some scans of the marquee?

They also released mission 660 (taito/wood place/ed/kaneko)url(23).jpg

When you power up in this game the music changes to a chiptune version of Far From Over by Frank Stallone. :ROFLMAO:

I'm not real sure how to go about scanning the marquee. I assume I'd have to do it in pieces and stitch it together some how?

You don't have to bother stitching it together, I'm pretty good at that and will take care of it, as long as I have full overlapping pieces that will cover everything I can make it work. I'll post the completed pic here of course and will do the same with pics from the control panel too if someone can come up with them.

I assume a flat bed scanner is the way to go about it?
Yep, and just get it in as big slices as you can, with some overlap to make sure everything is covered. If you could get a quick measurement of its total size too so I can make sure I get the scale right, though if you do a straight out scan it should stay normal.
I've been looking at possibilities for side art too assuming it wasn't released with any, the Kyros flyer looks pretty cool in content but it looks very hand drawn, the home computer port of the game called Desolator has box artwork of a fist punching through a door I might be able to do something with.
