ColecoVision Kiosk? Kind of, sort of...hmmmm? My Favorite and the 1st home console my folks bough me in 1982, the ColecoVision. My fav games; DK Jr and Montezuma's revenge. I gave this dead, blow monitored, parted out, shelled out, Sega Hang-on, with a trashed base, a new lease on life. Now it's a Kustom Coleco Kiosk, like the ones in Sears and Kmart we plays for free back in the 80's. Then begged our folks to get one! There are only 3 know real Coleco Kiosks (according to the web), so I thought there should be room for a 4th fake one. I even added a hinged door to store my extra gear. The marquee got the LED treatment. I had a scrap piece of plexiglass that fit the marquee pretty good. Mounted a power strip. I like these yellow socket ones on amazon. I found an Insignia 24" TV at Best Buy for $70 bucks. It has HDMI for the KinHank-Mini MP100 PC running 66,000 games, including ColecoVision of course. Using a wired 8BitDO PRO2 controller (OG Coleco controllers ready for action when I hook up the real Coleco). The reason I bought this TV was due to the fact it has pretty rare RCA jacks, that I can use for my systems modded with RCA's, like my Atari 2600 and Coleco. I made all the artwork on photoshop, and had Walgreens print it up as a 24x36 poster. I cut and pasted the artwork on the cab with carpet tape and staples. I got a sheet of black poster paper at Walmart for the TV bezel. Came out pretty sweet, and not too much $$$ in parts.
