Went on a service call to this place today. It's a bar with 14 arcade games and 3 Skee-Ball games scattered around. Pretty cool. Everything runs on a quarter.

Big Buck Hunter II (monitor chassis has been removed for repair)
Centipede (cocktail)
Donkey Kong (needs monitor rebuild but it works)
Galaga (cocktail) (board has been removed for repair of bad character ROM)
Golden Tee Live
Joust
Moon Patrol (monitor has been removed for repair)
Mortal Kombat III Ultimate (chassis has been removed for repair)
Ms. Pac-Man (cocktail)
NBA Jam
Skee Ball (3 lanes!) (need a little repair)
Shuffleboard
Space Duel (cocktail)
Space Invaders Deluxe (Midway)
Street Fighter II
Track & Field

If you're in town and want to drink, listen to music, and play some games, check it out...

If it did id go down there on a tuesday night for their high score tourney. The slow pacs just bore me...much better at the speedy ones

I'll have to check it out next time I am down there. Barcadia in Dallas has trouble keeping their machines up. =/

Man, if that is what we are relegated to for a little gaming "in the wild", the world is going to the dogs. 14 games and more than a quarter of them are down and almost as many need repair. I freak out when any of mine are acting up. Steve, you need to help that bar owner big time. Give him a bulk discount or something.

Well, I'll have the Galaga up Friday, and his MK3 up by Monday (depending on how long I have to wait for my flyback). The BBH and the MP had the monitors pulled by their "other repair guy" who works for an operator but things continue to break every week. I'll rebuild the DK monitor next week because "it's playing now and we want it for the weekend".

Of course, I told them they could cut down on the problems if they put them all on surge protectors and didn't leave them on 24-hrs-a-day like they do now.

I'm talking to them about buying my Rampage World Tour, Popeye cocktail, and maybe a Q*Bert a friend owns...

Huh, didn't see this place go in. Right next to Frank and Angie's and down 6th from where I work.

Will have to check it out soon. Thanks for the headsup.

Edit - actually a block east of F&A's. This is across the street from Wahoo's.

I ended up going there last night. The only games that were getting much love were skeeball and golden tee.

My reviews:
Joust stole 2 quarters, never actually accepted credits.
NBA Jam wouldnt accept quarters.
Street Fighter II, played but the joysticks need work.
Track & Field and Donkey Kong, played fine.

It was pretty busy, young crowd. Nice place overall.

I haven't had a chance to go through everything yet. I will add these to the list. I saw some people playing the SF when I was there the first time, so I figured it must have been okay. I also have heard that the Centipede drops quarters through but doesn't give credits.

Today, the MK3 monitor and the Galaga board were put back in and are working. I didn't have time to play them to make sure all the features work. I'm picking up the DK on Monday to redo the monitor, and will see about checking out ALL the games for functionality.

Apparently their "other tech" works for a local operator. He sent one of the chassis to California for repair and hasn't hears anything back yet, and has the other sitting at his shop but "hasn't had time to look at it yet" in the three weeks since he's pulled it. I'm supposed to be getting it from him to fix myself.

Also, I pretty much have the skeeball games fixed, although two have a missing segment on the LED score readout, and they don't have enough balls in them....

You didnt happen to see if the Ms. pac had the speed chip in it did you.

I watched the attract mode today and it was slow Ms. Pac, so I assume the game is slow also.

I'll talk to them about changing it to fast....

the SF is playable but doesn't detect diagonal jumps half of the time. it might just be for p1, dont remember. hopefully you get the rest of the cabs working. you should try to convince them to get a Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble in there, that would bring in the quarters.

Donkey Kong monitor has been rebuilt and looks beautiful. It will be back on location tomorrow sometime.

I also should have the Moon Patrol monitor done and in also.

I will try to look at the other things mentioned while I'm there. I need to replace the black light in the back of the SI-Deluxe, also. And I want to talk them into having me rebuild the Joust and TnF monitors also. The Joust colors are getting pretty dark, and they both would look much better with rebuilds...

Just saw an advert for this place in the latest Austin Chronicle. I really need to get out and see the place. Any updates on repairs? :)
