I just came across a KTN-2001 that has a burn free tube.
It's a used monitor with a mfg date of 2007.
Problem is, there's no picture.
There's power to the chassis (fuse is ok) and there seems to be power to the anode wire as well.
There's no neck glow.
No physical signs of any blown resistors or caps on the chassis.
I do already know that Kortek had the 'bad batch' issue on their post 2004 era KTN-2001's and are very problematic. I also own several KTN-2001's that ended up being just fine (luck of the draw I guess..)
Before I just scrap this chassis, I would like to try and attempt to get the chassis up and running.
Where should I start?
Thanks,
