I've used similar to "seal" pinball backglass that was starting to delaminate. But I sprayed the whole piece of glassHow deep are the scratches, and how do you plan on containing the spray into one area?

Bumping this as I've seen way too many threads about people trying to protect their side art; from laminating to plexiglass.

I just put $170 worth of side art on a track and field, and I'd like to see it scratch free in two years. Not major protection just light scratch resistant coating. I may guinea pig another cab with it, if no one here has used it.

I totally understand, but you add another what-if to the scenario - What if the clear separates from what you spray it over through the years. I'd just hate for that to happen.

Yep, or...what if the clear reacts to the the vinyl side art, or its adhevise...ouch!

So what, this could be the best side art protection out there, but we shouldn't risk a test? Are those just guesses- or has other types of clear coats had these effect on your side art before. And I wouldn't just go w any ol clear coat, this stuff says specifically to prevent scratches and protect your art, and it says it's non-yellowing.

Thoughts, experiences?

I've never used it, but generally I'd skip it for a game in a home use situation. Right now with the new art, you only have to be careful about not scratching it when you move the cab. Spraying anything over it adds an X factor into the equation - will it yellow, will it react in a strange way, etc., the things already mentioned. If you were moving it and it smacked a door handle or something the odds are against it protecting that type of scratch anyway.
