Turn-on my Atari System I today and about 5 minutes into a game of Pack Rat, the screen started to roll vertically (extremely fast), could not stabilize it with the V-hold on the remote board, all other controls on the remote board are working fine. So I'm assuming the remote board is fine, could it be as simple as a bad cap or is there something else I should be looking at.

Thanks
Greg

I finally go around to doing the cap kit on th KTN-2001 and it did not fix the vertical scrolling issue, any ideas as to what to look at next.

Thanks
Greg

Ken - I looked at the whole board for bad traces and did not see any, could it be a bad pot on the remote board, if testing the pots resistence what should their tolarance be?

Thanks
Greg

Did you find anyone with a cap kit already made up for the Kortek?

I have 2 or 3 of these chassis that were from brand new dead-out-of-box monitors.

I need to get one more chassis working

Pot could have an internal hairline crack. The trimpots on remote adjustment boards are delicate & can fail at any time.
