I've had my Kong Off II marquee sitting on a shelf for awhile now. Originally I was going to built a light box for it similar to the one I made for my KO I marquee, but unfortunately I received one of the marquees with the backing scratched, so I really didn't want to draw attention to them by lighting them up. After some creative thinking I downloaded the flyer and a bunch of pics and came up with the following collage and custom framed it. Now I just need to find the right spot to hang it (it's hanging in my garage for the pics). ;)

I really like the custom frame - that's pretty cool with the side pieces and t-molding.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It didn't take long or cost too much (aside from the KO II marquee itself). If I could do it over, I think I would have cut the side pieces in the shape of the front edge of a Nintendo cab.

Looks cool. Sucks that it wasn't lightbox worthy, that KO I lightbox display you did was kick ass.

Nice job but you can't do that.
I have a copyright on that.:D

Where do you think I stole... uh, I mean got the idea from? :D

Damn that is nice! Are you going to put mini side art on it like somebody else did (Phet maybe? I can't remember).

I really like the KO II marquee. The mountains and colors were a great change from the first one.

Wish I could find the side art file. *sadface*

I have the same Kong Off side art that Phetty has.
I just need to get around to putting it on.

Very nice looking. To do you have any build pics from when you did this. I would enjoy seeing the process.

Thanks

I didn't take progress pics but there are pics of it without the marquee.
I basically copied the way the top section of a DK cab is built.
I used aluminum angle material for the lower marquee bracket to hold the marquee in place since I didn't have a bezel to hold in place.
The top is an original bracket.
The pics are here. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=193587&highlight=kong+light+box
I had to use calking to block the light from leaking through the joints.
