Kong Off Edition DK's auction starts today

I support the site owner's position on price policing, it is that simple. If you don't like that, take it up with him. Nice of you to edit that part out.

What edit are you talking about?

Last I checked this was posted in the General Arcade and Videogame Discussion section of the forum, my comment was made regarding his statement that he never sells here and not about his price for his auction, you for some reason felt the need to include my quote with your  aimed to put everyone in their place.
Richie has sold items here maybe indirectly or not previous to this Ebay ad (Kong Off Marquee's, Tee Shirts, Tickets to events, etc) Selling it on Ebay doesn't constitute selling it here imo.
I wasn't aware that you were appointed the Chief of the KLOV Price Police Patrol, if that's the case carry on with your :rolleyes: enforcement......

It's called hating. A product of jealousy and patheticism.

I'll preface this by saying I fancy myself much more on the playing side than the fixing, however I do own games and as such, I have a need to fix them when they go down. I have learned more using the search function within the general repair section of this site than I could have ever imagined. I see so much help being distributed in that section of the forum and even folks sending out extra parts at no cost to help out others. It's outstanding and I find myself randomly reading the threads in that forum even when I don't own anything related to the issue just to gather knowledge from all you techs. I'm not there but I'm slowly climbing.

Thus I hate to see the "hating". I recall when Trons were flying during the movie anticipation/Xmas season people were upset when Tron were selling at inflated prices to the public who were buying them for presents or simply because the movie made them recall enjoying the game back in 1982. I can understand if you are looking for one that would make it more difficult, however, I bought one around the same time on these forums at a great price and the fact that some folks restored theirs and sold them on EBAY etc, pumps money back into the hobby as well (most likely).

I think what can get lost sometimes is the fact that someone thinking their unrestored game is worth thousands on Craig's List pales in comparison to the upside of the non-collectors pumping money into the hobby for someone's next restore project. There were plenty of non-collectors over the weekend at the Kong Off that wanted to know how they could get into buying games, etc. More buyers is a good thing, demand increase is a good thing, most all of them are not going on warehouse raids...

I simply quoted what you (and others) said and gave my opinion, which is in line with the site administrator's position on the matter. I simply don't think it is in the best interest of the community to drive off people who would advertise stuff here because of their price. I said this because there are certain items I would pay the type of money he is asking here if they came up, but this type of unnecessary commentary makes it less likey that they ever will. Nothing more, nothing less. I have no idea why this is worth getting all bent out of shape about, I'm sure people can read and comprehend what you and the others wrote and come to their own conclusion. /EOD

By the way, you still have a great looking cat...

My comment was regarding Richie saying that he "never has hocked an item here before" but if not for here I wouldn't have purchased a Kong Off marquee, or known of the Kong Off.

This also marks the first time Richie Knucklez' Arcade Games has ever hocked an item over here on KLOV. I usually know better but this is such a great chance to own a piece of arcade history I had to share with my KLOV brethren. That and I promised my girls a trip to Disney!

Yes maybe I am splitting hairs on interpretation of his statement but in no way was it directed at his pricing, so my panties got wadded over my inclusion by you for it :D
I guess if you find a way to list an Ebay ad here you are selling it here as well and I hope he gets top dollar for them.

Then my apologies if I took you out of context. I hope you have a good weekend.

I am sitting on over 500 nice arcade machines... if people come to KLOV and gauge price on what goes on here, my net worth is around 5,000 bucks... cmon people. what have I ever done to deserve all the hate?

Richie, The best thing about the people being negative, is that it only pushes your post up a notch in the forum. I myself would love to have Eric's DK machine. The man played some great games on that machine....and now I think I can honestly call him a friend. I have never seen that much support for each other at any event, and guess what? Once any of you put as much of yourself into "ANYTHING" in life....then you can bust Richies balls.

I had Garey Coleman touch my Cobra Command arcade game when I brought it to E3 in 2005. I bet I can get $10,000.00 for it!!
