Kong Off Edition DK's auction starts today

The only thing I don't get about the auction is making the buyer choose which marquee. Good luck on the sale...

Thanks for having my back guys,

Z3K3 is obviously not my brethren... that or he collects Franklin mint items along with comic books and dolls (sorry) "Action Figures"

: )

Because when I try to buy busted up machines to fix, they think it must be worth 1250$ if a nice restored one is worth 2500.

I am sitting on over 500 nice arcade machines... if people come to KLOV and gauge price on what goes on here, my net worth is around 5,000 bucks... cmon people. what have I ever done to deserve all the hate?

...and judging from these comments, I'm sure it is likely to be your last too. Come on guys, really? Good luck with the sale, that is a cool package.

Well, I have two kids, and I already have a DK/DKJR machine. I mean if I have unlimited cash I would be okay with having two DK machines.

My comment wasn't meant as a negative. I would love to have one of those machines. Unfortunately, my house needs a new porch this summer.

I really hope you do sell these Richie. I also agree with you on the historical aspect of the event. You guys really pulled off something special last weekend. Wish I could've been there.

This was a machine, that someone played donkey kong on, that didn't win the contest, in which a record wasn't broken. HM.

I am in negotiations with 5 of the top networks, shopping my tv show. The August invitational / gamer's wiffle ball "The Knuckie Award SW!, the Tron Off, The Kong Off,
all of the behind the scenes resto and warehouse raids are all in there. The Fader and Zk3K just made my Roy Schildt edit room floor list.

lol just kidding btw I am just bustin balls... you cheap pricks don't get under my skin...

success and living well is the sweetest revenge

I'll be shocked if you can sell all 12 for 2500.00 a piece but good luck

I am currently planning on only selling 2 or 3 on Ebay.
I pre-sold all others for 3K+ (along with sponsorship to help fund the event)
I would like to keep Hank's, Steve's and Billy's to one day donate to Funspot, the IVGHOF and our own museum after the tv show takes off

man makes plans.... god sits back and laughs

It's a shame that your wit doesn't match your conceit.

I'm just giving you a little crap Richie. I think its amazing that you do so much to put Donkey Kong back in the spot light and keep these classics alive. I wasnt being malicious at all. Good luck with your sales.

I wouldn't say you are getting alot of "hate" as a matter of fact if it weren't for the coverage here of you, your place, and event I wouldn't have been aware of it or had boughten a $50 Kong Off marquee.......so you have sold on KLOV before this....:p
Seriously I hope the games sell for what you are looking for them and by us discussing it in this topic a bunch keeps this on the front page for you.

Really nit picky aren't you??

Mentioning his Ebay auction doesn't constitute selling here, for crying out loud he didn't even list it in the FS section....sensitive for Richie much?
I've never met or talked to the guy, I just think douchey comments about a price he admitted most here likely wouldn't pay are completely unnecessary. Obviously there are many who simply won't list their items here because of this type of thing. Please explain to me how running off sellers because of price benefits the KLOV community and I'll gladly back down.

By the way, if you disagree with me on price policing, take it up with the site administrator. His position is quite clear.

You pretty much went down the line and quoted all the above comments then dropped your  rolley eyes of doom on them, if you think open discussion on a restoration forum is the only advertising for his sale I'd say your mistaken, if anything it's keeping this topic on top of the front page and can only help his sale.
I think it's a mistake to think a few comments represent the entire community's standpoint on reselling games, there are stingy people everywhere including here, the fact they speak up wouldn't dissuade a real buyer from paying a premium price, but hey you sure put them in their place.

It's called hating. A product of jealousy and patheticism.

Nailed that one didn't ya Lindsey?

Suggestion toy you Richie: Go back to your listing and edit the title a bit. Put 'Nintendo" in front of Donkey Kong Arcade, this will maximize your exposure much more than just one game specific. Good luck on your sale!

I hope these sell really high Richie! I love what you did with the Kong Off and I'd like to see you continue to have big events that get national attention. Can't wait for your show to get produced too. With some of the crap there is out there in reality tv, this should really be a quick sell.

You may want to think about one of the cabs going toward the IVGHOF if you support their efforts.

I support the site owner's position on price policing, it is that simple. If you don't like that, take it up with him. Nice of you to edit that part out.
