I was watching the Wade/Wiltshire feed. Great games! Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. If I can manage it, I'd love to go see this in person next year.

Robbie Lakeman's a Phoenix guy (although I think he's in the process of moving back East), visible in the community (CAX, ZapCon, Arcade Expo, etc), and an all-around good guy, so I'm pulling for him to take back the WR.

Can't get on twitch chat... Anyway, well done Richie and posse on the logistics and set-up... AWESOME! LOVE IT! Appreciate all the hard work. Keep it goin! THANKS

Twitch was having issues making new accounts yesterday. I got signed in today, and joined the chat. What fun!

I'm still learning the Twitch app, and tomorrow is the last day for Kong Off.... Man, I wish we could afford a day trip up there. But, there's always next year. My wife is talking about a day trip or two for her vacation on Sept.... Might have to go hit Ritchie's arcade if I can talk her into it. :)

Richie just bailed... I was gonna say, give 'em a me and klov shout out. he'll have no idea who I am

He's on Facebook, and here. I'm not sure if he cross referenced me between here and Facebook, but he accepted my request. Seems like a cool dude, and I hope to meet him sometime.

Man, did that look like a fun event to attend!! I streamed it, and got a little inter-active with the commentators via the chat.

Some were picking on Billy Mitchel for that white suit he was wearing, and one guy was being really assholish about something he claims happened over 30 years ago. That got old quick. I'm not saying he's wrong about what happened, but he has no proof, and really, it was over 30 years ago. The only person he's hurting is himself by holding onto that anger.

The games themselves were very interesting to watch. The games in the qualifying round were awesome! Watching guys hit a million + and the kill screen was just amazing. The Quarter and Semi-finals were over a lot quicker than I thought they'd be, but that final round.......

Man...... I'm still blown away by that demonstration of skill. Made me really want to add a DK to my collection. I was really hoping to see Billy play, but he didn't.

I know how a lot of people in the community feel about him, but I've never met him in person(though, I would like to), and I really don't know a whole lot about him outside of his gaming credentials. Like him or not, he was the first person on record of hitting Pac-Man's end game.

Look at the kid scratching his head over the weird looking Stormtrooper. lol

I watched some of it.

That was Tim Sczerby who kept chiming in about something generally negative every 2 minutes.. got old pretty quick. How many times you going to say the same thing over and over and have people ignore it?

I was kind of amazed people kept it cool with that and noone told him to STFU. The chat was generally pretty entertaining otherwise.

I didn't watch it, but I imagine he was griping about not being mentioned or included in the King of Kong. While that was being filmed, Tim was the actual DK record holder, not Billy.

As far as I understand the timeline, Tim was not the record holder during filming. Either way, tim seems to have a TON of sour grapes about a movie not being about him when he wasn't even an active player at the time. Every movie needs a hero and a villain, a third party becomes the joke/comic relief. They had their main actors in Steve and Billy, nobody needed Tim to make the movie as it wasn't a history lesson.

Name the villain in Forrest Gump.
