I just got a few Konami Jamma's (GI Joe, Sexy Parodius and Sunset Riders) and hoping to get that awesome Stereo sound off them.
Searching around I found an article by Smokemonster that he took a 4 pin floppy connector and then just soldered the wires to RCA's >>> seems easy enough.
However, someone commented that these 4 pin connectors on konami boards for stereo out are already powered coming off the board. So with this cable on powered stereo komani boards (4pin to RCA) you could just connect the RCAs straight to your speakers ?

But, if you wanted to connect these to a Receiver (which is what id like to do) first you would need a high low converter ... is this cheap device or something similar what i need ??

and so then ... Just take the 4 pin floppy connector, solder the appropriate wires together (R+R-,L+L-) to this converter ... then run the RCAs to a Receiver ?
Am i looking at this right or am i way off ? I just dont want to ruin anything.
Any help to get these working would be appreciated.
Thanks

Follow up … maybe this might help someone in the future … but I took a 4 pin floppy to sata cable, cut the sata end off, striped the ends of wires and then soldered them to appropriate wires of a Scosche LOC80. I did have to use a stick pin or thumb tack to open the holes on the floppy connector to get them to fit the pins from the audio out on the jamma boards.

Hooked it up to my Sony receiver.
Absolutely night and day difference from mono to stereo .. the stereo sound on these games are awesome.
