Noticed this ad in the Houston Craigslist. Don't want the Stone Age and the Tempest is sold, but I have the cab that the Stone Age is in and I know nothing about it and I've been wanting to know for some time. Mine is stripped empty but it's a nice, pretty, and solid little cab and I've been thinking of doing something with it. (I've toyed with the idea of popping a puter in it and making it my workshop web surfer and MAME machine.) Anyone know who made it, anything?

Sure, and this is what it is. But someone besides "generic" had to make it. :) I'm telling you that it is actually a rather sound, practical, and handsome cab, once all the generic slot/poker crap has been removed from it. I wouldn't mind having a few more of them.

Yes, someone besides generic made it, but good luck finding out who produced a "For Amusement Only" gambling cabinet that was actually made for real gambling. A lot of that stuff had its final assembly done by the distributor or operator.

It is an 8liner cabinet. There were a number of cabinet shops here in Houston and Dallas that were making them a few years ago and then the market crashed and they all went out of business. I don't know where all the "gamerooms" get their cabinets from now.
