Yeah, but how can you tell if it's authentic or not?

Hey now, that was a better question than many give it credit for. My first machine was a "new" replica Ms. Pac Man/Galaga reproduction machine (Ms. Pac on one side, Galaga on the other, played both and Frogger, yearsss before the official Class of 81 came out) and I paid like... 3000 to have it custom built, under the impression they were Namco or using official parts. (keep in mind this was ten years ago) In the end it was perfectly accurate but 100% "fake". I remember I was crushed when I realized it wasn't an "authentic" machine. As someone who didn't ask the question before making a first purchase... yeah, it's a good question to make. In retrospect I was better off with a brand spanking new reproduction that still looks perfect and doesn't crash all the time considering I was clueless as to anything relating to arcade repair but w/e.

details???

Well I bought a few machines from a guy in the Seattle collectors group, a few months ago. I never met him just talked on the phone, he dropped those games off at Dokerts for me. He saw that I had been buying Dragons Lair parts, to convert back a Dragons lair Cabinet that I got last year. He sent me a email amd told me he had this machine.missing LD player, LD and LD drawer. I have all of those parts:D

We talked about making a deal and meeting halfway somtime in October, but never hammered out a deal.

A few days ago I got a email. He said he could drop it off at my house if I wanted it. He was coming thru Spokane heading to Alberta Canada to pick up Twin Daytona's. I said hell ya.

Dragons Lair is one of my Grails. Not sure what I will do with the other cab and extra parts yet.
