Klover on Bob Roberts bad trader list...

I don't think I've EVER bought anything from Bob.... I've never had the need yet. But, it's really cool to see all the positive response he's had for the last 10-15 years! Since I've never ordered, I've never actually seen any of the cool freebies he's included with his orders. Can anyone show me some of the stuff he gives away? As someone who gives away freebies myself, I'm curious.

Oh, and how exactly does he pack these moon pies into the parcels? Does he just toss it in or does he wrap/pack it up somehow?

Just trying to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks

Dave

He throws all kinds of other things in there too. Sometimes it goes with what your ordering. I ordered some rebuild parts for a WG6100 and got some extra caps that were not in the normal rebuild kit.

As for the moon pies, they are "mini moon pies" and are wrapped in clear wrap much like a twinky as seen below. So he just throws them in the box or one of the bubble wrap bags with parts.

Yummy!

I've received spare bulbs and light fixtures, the screw-driver pen, a small Amercian flag around 4th of July, but the most intersting was the screw-driver shaped tool with a small bulb inside for testing 5v or 12v. Its got a ground clip on one side and you touch the end to your hot wire and see if the bulb comes up.

I'm always amazed at how fast he ships the stuff. When I ordered a bunch of connectors and other parts recently, I also included a picture of the sound ribbon cable I was looking for from Smash TV, and asked for advice on where I might find one. The email I get back says my order, plus a used STV sound cable, are on the truck.

6 year bump, mkellar is still on the list.

I love on the first page how nesjess's old name is quoted but his current name is on the original post.

Whoa, blast from the past.

See some old names in this thread including Karl (FullThrottle). He was a grail runner who found a red tent years ago (when they seemed harder to find) and got me connected with Barry (timberterror) to get the deal done. Good times.

That's crazy. Obviously MKeller never really intended to clear things up seeing as how it was 6 years ago.

My favorite part of the post:

When hovering over Daveia's red reputation dot, it says "Daveia has a little shameless behavior in the past". :)
