Klover on Bob Roberts bad trader list...

That is surprising. Does he not let you know if something has gone wrong? Like if it's a lost check? Accidentally short on payment maybe?

In the long run it is my bad. I am used to receiving one email entitled "Re:Order" about a week after sending out my money order. I did not open it this time ASSUMING it was a standard "Payment received" response. I was wrong and it seems he did not receive my money order. One email warning I guess. I will have to track it down with the post office tomorrow.

Edit: I'm sorry for bringing someone else's name in here. I don't like being brought out like this, and I'm sorry for doing it to someone else.

And I did not mean it as a knock against **** in any way by bringing him into this. It just shocked the hell out of me to see myself and him at the top of the list.

We know you were not knocking him. He probably doesn't know he is on there either. Sorry that there was a problem with your payment getting to Bob.

I did not rush to judgement, no one should. Recently Bob failed to receive one of my money orders, the post office coded it wrong and it went on a little journey before getting to Bobs house. I could have easily done the same thing and saw his email and figured it was a "payment received" email and not even opened it. Luckily I did open it, saw that he never got it, and sent a second one. The first one finally showed up a little later and so he gave me credit for it.

Are the PO money orders the best way to do this? I just send a check from my online banking and never had a problem. He gets them pretty fast that way too.

I wouldn't sweat being at the "Top" of his list, the way he lists people on that page, he adds people to the top rather than the bottom, it just means you're the most recent. Nice to see that you're taking care of it right away, and it sounds like you were generally unaware that this happened. for doing the right thing
To those at the bottom of the list though, there's no excuses for that, some of those names sound very familiar though I'm not sure if they are current posters here or not...

I have had two lost or stolen payments to Bob in the past 5 years. Both were Postal MO's, so I got my money back. I have a deal with Bob, that he now lets me know when he gets my payment. I like to know for sure that Bob has got his end.

Bob usually only sends out 1 email stating that the payment did not come, and it is actually from Alice. If you respond to it, they will answer in kind. If you don't answer it, they give it some more time before slapping you on the Bad Trader List.

Your method may be the best. Postal MO's are a pain if the get lost or stolen. I just went and got another one when he didn't get mine, then I had to wait for the PO to get me my money back and it took like 3 weeks.

Sorry if I seemed like I was "rushing to judgment." I was just playing. I know you guys are legit. Sometimes problems happen and we're not aware of it.

It seems like Bob is a no BS type of guy, so one email notification from him is not surprising. I'm sorry you had trouble with your order. Hopefully, you can let Bob know what happened and get off that list.

And yes, I agree that personal check is the best way to go. I've made 3 orders with Bob and they have all arrived safely and with no complications.

I actually had to put Bob Roberts on my bad sellers list recently. :) I sent him payment for something the day after ordering. I get an email from him about 5 days later saying he got my check but forgot to ship out my items. Shipped them right away and rushed delivery. I emailed him and asked if I could put him on my bad sellers list now. I didn't really care that it was late since I wasn't in a hurry to get the parts. I just thought it was funny.

Did he throw in a few moon pies to make up for it?

I agree, I just send him a check via snail mail, he now cross ships to me but it's been ages since I have ordered anything from him.

For a cheap thing M.O. sucks. It's 12.50 or maybe more now to stop it. :( A cheap check I would probably just send another and keep an eye on my account.

I was shock and awed to be on the list!? Had NO clue! How did I end up on such a good guys list? I bought some locks and cap kits, he had them here in days and I sent a money order within that week. He had the parts here before I even knew it! I even kicked in $4 extra on my payment since he is the man and got them here like a lightning bolt. I've already emailed him and am going to go out to the post office at lunch and send it. I haven't checked my email in weeks and he's probably sent me warning messages or email questions that I still haven't seen or replied, I guess he figured no reply that I was blowing him off.

I am truly hanging my head in disbelief... I feel like I've made the pope's bad list!
