klov northeast chapter meet?

Any more ideas on this don't want this idea to fizzle out before it gets started. I could do February or March gives me time to save a few $$ for a road trip. I guess it doesn't really matter to me where it is I'm located right over the hump of Delaware and I'm about an hour and a half from all locations chosen so far.

There is also this place in Allentown http://www.pinball-parlour.com/

I have yer to go there but has a decent game list.

Sorry guys I fell behind on this. I personally am thinking the Glen Burnie location will be the best for the 2/20 gathering, since it seems to be more in the midpoint IMO of everyone than Richie's.

Can we get a vote of folks who are OK with the date of 2/20 and the place in Glen Burnie?

VG

OK so we have the following who say AYE for Saturday 2/20 at Glen Burnie:

1. Gader77
2. Oryk Zinyo
3. Vintagegamer

I have also attached an updated map. The 2 yellow circles are the 2 potential meeting locations.

Pinball Parlour is a good place, but I found it being pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. I thought for our gathering it would be cool to be near someplace where we could also get something to eat or even a frosty one.

Haven't filled out my calendar with everything already scheduled yet, but if I'm free I'd most likely attend.
I'd prefer Richies if its available, we might get some more people from the North NJ, NE PA and, NY to attend. I know it might be a bit further for some but it would be nice to hold it in a place owned by a KLOVer (and wouldn't have a many other customers, since normally not open to the public on Sat).
The Crabtown does look nice so a February meetup in MD and then a March at Richies would be OK. But quarters at the crabtown will make it expensive for someone like me that hasn't played most of these games since the 80's.

Ok I'm lost which location did we all decide on then? I think I could do that weekend how exactly are we all going to find each other? Name tags, Arcade related shirts or something.

I posted this above:

So far I've seen votes for the Glen Burnie one, along with people who are OK with either place. So, in response to that (unless someone blatantly objects to it), it's probably best to plan on the Glen Burnie location in Feb, followed by a meet at Richie's in March, since he's planning a gig for that month anyway. If you don't like that plan, say the word and we can look for more feedback from those who are following this thread.

This is a good question that hasn't been reviewed yet. I have a tag that I made to wear to the '08 VG Expo, and I also have arcade shirts. I can do whatever the majority would like to do.

Ok place is called Crab Towne USA the Glen Burnie thing was throwing me off LOL. I have never been here sounds intresting for others that havent been here, here is the address 1510 Crain Hwy S, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.

And a Youtube link to a video of the games they have: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOfTIFjoTxI

Looks like an Hour and a half drive to an hour 40 min it's doable. Maybe I'll just wear my Contra shirt I got for Christmas. I wouldn't be that hard to miss glasses long hair in a pony tail and a Contra t-shirt LOL or maybe Ill just blend in so well no one will notice me.

Oh wow!! I am definately there for this one. Very, very nice selection of games. The vid was posted march 09 so hopefully all the same games are still there. Preparing to roll quarters now....lol Is there an updated list for who is attending? If so put me on it.

That was my next question not to early since it will take me an hour and a half to get there. Plus I wouldn't be staying till midnight since I wouldn't get home till 1:30 in the morning. Maybe shoot for around noon till whenever?

Should I bring a video camera would make for an interesting youtube video LOL.

I agree with bman. I have a long trip to get up there and if it runs very late I will need to spend the night and I really don't want to do that. I'd say start anywhere from noon to 2pm.

Somehow missed this thread. I should be able to make it on the 20th at Crab Town. Around Noon to whenever works well for me.

We've talked about Crab Town before and how the games were a bit run down. I haven't been there, but I just read a review where they started to fix and clean them last year. Hopefully, that will pan out as being true.

X2 Maybe someone here that lives near there or passes by occasionally can scout the spot out for us before hand? I'm gonna be blown if we get there and 3-4 games are working. Maybe we should bring tools and test equipment just in case? LOL
