KLOV confessional.

I rub my penis on every joystick of every game I sell. Thousands of hands in his city have indirectly touched my junk.

Ok that's not true

Or is it

I got shocked while putting a anode cup on a tube and Karate Chopped the neck off.

Wow, this is not the shit I wanna read right before Im about to attempt my first monitor discharge. But since your still alive I guess it was ok.

I have referenced Iggy's PP more than anyone else on the forums.

Bah..... I did one the old "two screwdrivers" way, and got thrown into a wall for my trouble. I lived through that..... Just use the proper tool and you'll be fine.

Seriously come on man, don't tell me these things. I just finished making the tool with a 12in flat head, some 16 gauge wire, solder, electric tape, and alligator clips. So, if mysteriously this is my last post on the forum, you know what happen.

Just make sure you re-discharge the tube again, before putting things back together, as many of them can build a slight charge back up again while sitting, and you'll feel it if you touch the hole.

I've been bitten by this a couple of times, and it just feels like a very strong static shock when you go to put the anode cup back in. Nothing close to a full tube discharge.

Just be careful, and you'll be ok.

Thanks for the information, will try and be extra careful.

I got zapped by an anode while the monitor was on. You survive u just can't use your hand for a day or two because you can't feel it. But seriously be safe.

I discharged my G08 3-4 times and I still got zapped several times by just putting my hand near the anode hole when I last worked on it. I didn't put my hand over the hole; just being near it was enough for the voltage to come out and play.

Once while trying to repair a monitor chassis, I failed to discharge the tube because the monitor did not come on. Unfortunately, it was coming on just long enough to charge the tube and the HV protection shut it down. You can guess how this story ends. I got flung backwards away from the game and did not crash into anything. However, I did see a bright blue flash before my eyes.

Filled wrong holes on my Robotron CP.

Yeah, there were a bunch of holes drilled on my Robotron CP that I'm restoring. Did a very nice job filling the wrong ones. Didn't realize this until I was about to put the new CPO on.

KLOV & Pinside are the only social media type sites I have besides my LinkedIn that I hardly every use. I don't have a Facebook, Twitter, instagram or anything else and I'm just fine without any of them.

Same here. I was on Fakebook for about a month, three years ago. Never again. My wife also decided that she didn't want to do Facebook anymore. Before I left my last job, my boss said that he was also off of it and had never been happier. I think that people are seeing the light.
