I was wondering if someone can walk me through the steps to check the sound section of KLAX. I have the schematics in front of me, but just not sure what to check. I have a scope and logic probe, just not sure what I should be seeing. Just trying to understand the process a little bit better and this pcb looked like a good candidate.

I am getting +12 at pin4 of LM324 and -5 on pin 11 of LM324. All three LEDs light up.

Here's the link http://crazykong.com/manuals/Klax.man.pdf and it's pages 41 & 42 on the manual.

Thanks!

Check r73 for an audio signal and see if anything is there, use you scope and look for an audio signal there. if it is there then look at the out put of the lm324. Pin 5 and 6 of the lm324 is the input and 7 is the output. If there is a signal at the input 5 and 6 but missing at the output pin 7 then the amp is probably bad.

EDIT:

You can also use an amplified audio speaker or an lp560 type logic probe to probe for the audio, it will be low but will be there.
