Just wanted a few thoughts about a Kiss pin
I am interested in on EBay. The game looks
clean and he did several upgrades on it. He
stated that they playfield has an overlay and
from the pictures I've seen, it looks like it was
done very well. The price is at $ 2300 now,
and I was curious as to what some of your thoughts
would be on bidding on this game.
Thanks

well there was a lot of hype about owning this title in the past, but i'm not sure that is still the case? it looks cool but doesn't have gameplay to match the aesthetics....
and Gene has all but crushed the KISS market for the 40 something american guy crowd, by overhyping all the garbage at hot topic/spencers, and that TV show.

i've been seeing them on CL in the midwest in the 1500ish range. don't know if they are selling, though. just what the posts say.

If you plan on just looking at it, fine. If you plan on playing it alot, spend that kind of money on a newer pin that will be more entertaining.

Unless you just have to have a KISS pin you can get more for less in the same era pins. Other than the look, a lot of them play and sound about the same. And they cost a fraction of that one.

If you keep your eyes open you can get a KISS for much less, but machines in really nice shape can go for that price.

I like the SS era pins, but a lot of folks like the newer machines since there's more going on in the game and the sounds are much better. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, you can get a decent newer game for the asking price on this one.

Kiss Pinball

The KISS Pin that Sold on Ebay was mine. Totally agree with the comments. Not a fun game to play, but if you are a KISS fan it is a MUST! 10 out of 10 on coolness factor. About 2 out of 10 on gameplay. Boring after a while but is the pinnacle of any KISS collection. They usually go for under $2000 on these forums which is why it went to Feebay. The game was worth the sale price though, I spent ALOT of money upgrading that machine. I lost about $500 on it.

there are 2 kiss pinballs on the midwest CL right now. don't see them moving. 1500ish range.

Skippy, wish you would have made more on your Kiss game. It sure did look sweet.
It went for more than I was willing to spend at this time.
1500, thanks for the tip.
I think the one in Omaha is already gone, and I havent seen the other one.

+1 for cool factor. The gameplay sucks. I have always wanted one until I played the one at FUNSPOT the game is slow, repetitive and very few shots. If i find one cheap i'll pick it up but not for the prices they seem to fetch.
