I was able to pick up a Killer Instinct 1 and 2 arcade game, basically 2 boards installed in the KI2 cabinet. Killer Instinct 2 works perfectly, however Killer instinct 1, when in 2 play mode will sometimes form a rolling blue screen when playing. Basically it resets and comes right back on. When turned on it starts right up and you can play. If your in 1 player mode it doesnt do this , but when 2 players are playing, sometimes a blue screen will come up, roll once and then restart. I have done some research on this and it seems a lot people have the blue screen issue when starting it up, mind does it while playing with 2 players. Id say in 2 player mode it does it every 3 fights. When started up it beeps once, like i was told its so pose to.

Anyone have any info for my on a fix? Im new to this but would love to get it working correctly.

generally if the game ever does the rolling blue screen or resets, it's a bad hard drive.

is yours running an original hard drive or did the previous owner replace them with compact flash kits?

if it's a hard drive, it could be failing.
if it's a CF, it could be a bad kit.

just my theory.

throw it in test mode and do a disk test on it, it's under Diagnostics. see if any errors come up.

Mine is not a flash kit, although from what i was told is that the hard drive in wasnt that old. How difficult is it to change to the flash drives, like i said im fairly new to this and still learning.

First check you +5v and see where its at. Set it right around 5.05-5.10v and retest.
It wouldnt hurt to upgrade to the CF kit, much more reliable and faster boot time.

yeah, I'm sure it's still offered. give him time to respond. it's been a long time since I ordered mine. I liked the authenticity of the load times and lag at first, but once I upgraded, yeah, big change. lol

as mentioned, check your +5 at the power supply. it's a laptop hard drive so it runs off +5V, if you have any voltage drops from a weak or mis-adjusted power supply it'll probably cause resets.
