Hi Guys,

I have noticed this a few times now and not sure if its a bug.

Basicly when using player 1 controls and gaining enough points to enter your initials in the high score, while the stick moves around the letters fine, pushing a button does not register anything so you have to wait for the countdown. it works fine every time on the player 2 controls.

It did the same on my old eprom bios which has since been upgraded to the latest when i had to swap out to CF Flash HDD.

Just wondered if its a known bug or anything.

I've never seen this happen before. best I can come up with is maybe going into test mode and performing a Full Factory Restore under the Utilities menu and see if the problem persists.

if it's any consolation, my KI2 flash drive actually has one high score that's outside the 3rd character, like AAA is 3 characters, this one score is _ _ _ F. I never bothered clearing the high scores on it, always found it amusing.

just out of dumb curiosity, where did you buy your flash kit from?

Ill try that reset thanks mate.

I got a flash kit off a guy on youtube who has a lot of KI videos and many boards. he was kind enough to help me when i got my cab with some issues and also recommended a nice chap in the uk for repairs who i ended up sending my board to when i saw a blown capacitor.

if you PM me ill send you his contact details.

Im picking up a KI2 cab this weekend that i managed to get for £170. orig cab with artwork but doesn't work. - the best way to get em... nothing like a lil tinkering before you play.

I didn't even realize you were in UK, or maybe I did and I just can't remember anything anymore, lol

you got access to an EPROM programmer (and eraser, for that matter)? I'd say try dumping a new any-IDE boot rom, see if that handles it too.

and do the same for KI2, well, see if it's the hard drive that's bad first. if it's a board-level issue... uh... good luck. :)
