It appears I have a bad filter assembly on the power brick. I'm getting the unregulated 8v output, but not the unregulated 15v output, yet the inputs (ac) seem to be fine. Hopefully it's as simple as that.

BTW Jeff, how did you like Mouse Trap and Mappy?
I have a kickman pcb if you need it cheap. pretty sure it has some sound issues. I cant recall. just lmk chris
Lol! The kickman hoarder can't pass it up!![]()
Oh, just giving you a hard time. I don't blame you. If I get really good at fixing a particular board and time permits, I'd probably buy them non-working to fix them and sell them to some needy collector too.![]()
Mua ha ha. The stereotypical fuse (on the filter assy). Then I had to crank the +5v to 5.3 on the PS in order to get a full 5.0 on the boards. Once I did that, it booted right up! Now I need to rebuild the g07 (video is plugged into my ms pac right now). I'm really excited right now!
Good job.
Noisy audio is usually failing caps on the power supply board.
Welcome to tthe club. Great game. It gets really fun about the 8th level. It will make you break a sweat.
I was figuring it would be power supply related. You are talking about the board and not the brick, right? Hoping to avoid replacing those monster caps on the brick if possible since I'm sure they ain't cheap.![]()
