Id guess most of these panels are pretty worn and not really easy for a cpo repro
Originally screened directly on the metal panel like an Asteroids.
the options are limited.

Months back The ShanMan sent me some scans of his Kick Control Panel
KickCP1.jpg

which I vectored and planned to re-screen.

But I got Spyridon's panel first
striped and powdercoated panel first
so I got the art and screen ready and gave it a test run.

Ive had several requests to do these and will have this added to my site later today.
Ill be keeping these screens on hand and the setup is pretty simple so will be able to rescreen these as one offs as they come in.

The panels need to be shipped, striped, painted or powder coated for screening.
and the turn time is 2 weeks.

So besides the obvious Atari Games (Asteroids, LL, MC, BZ) any others
need this kind of work??

Wow, that looks fantastic!!

But here's a question I have had for a while....Is the name of this "Kick" or "Kick Man"?

I think I have seen both.

Nice work, sorry to hijack the thread with the question.

Chris

i have been looking to redo mine for awhile, that looks great so how much to do mine? LOL and as far as the name its both. kick man has pac man and ghosts to where the other does not.

the price break downs for the panel screening
1qty-$40
2-3qty-$30
4-5qty-$25
6+$20each

+shipping which will vary deppending on how it was shipped to me
so that will be calculated and paid seperate later when the panel is ready to ship back.
but wont be anymore than what you paid to ship it.
Ill be adding this to the site later today with more details.

and for more of the nuts and bolts of the art and screening
http://www.coinopspace.com/profiles/blogs/kick-cps-need-love-too-man

and from the looks of it both Kick and Kickman have the same cp art

the cabaret and cosktail have simialr variations and I could do those as well
but would need scans before anyone stripped and repainted those.
but they could be done as well. If theres any out there that werent kicked aside into some landfill :D

I wish you would consider doing Gottlieb and Bally aprons, but I realize there are multiple configurations of the artwork to consider. With the Bally, a set of screens could actually cover many aprons, yet the colors would differ (Playboy, KISS, etc...)

2 colors for KISS, but I bet you could charge what it's worth. Example:

these are on my to do list.
and I have a few here ready to do.
and had a post in the pinball section months back to guage interest.
these aprons and some of these panels/parts are easy to rescreen
and elimate the need to reproduce/fab new metal.
which is the bigest cost factor for smaller more limited runs.

Looking at the 2 I have I now see the remnants of what looks to be a trademark text at the bottom of the pannel.

Yeah I almost didnt catch that untill looking over Spydrons resto blog.
flyerpic.jpg

getting a complete scan of that on a panel is going to be slim to none
but luckily the same text is on both the marquee and bezel
so Ill be able to match it to that and got the scan of the marquee from JoyMonkeys site.

will need to reshoot the screen but not that big of a deal to add.

This thread had inspired me to go get the media for my blaster that I have been needing to do for months now...I get back to the shop and the guy sold me the fine stuff!
So much for cleaning up this pannel today. :(
