I get a real bad scrolling picture of the game. Tried dialling the scrolling down and nothing. Its in my mk2 cab that plays perfect.

Here is a video of the scrolling issue :

Now I never messed with the board. On first inspection - the small square pin thing with the black strip in the middle, right below the video ground connection on the jamma edge looked as is the previous owner scratched it right off because it is missing ??? then it looked like there was solder on that jamma pin for video ground and the ground at the end. So I tried a jumper from ground to video ground and I got a better looking scrolling picture lol, but not what I want. When I take the ground jumper off the video ground the picture is real bad.

Here is a video of the black pin connector thing is located, video quality is kinda blurry but like I said it right below where the video ground on the jamma edge is :

and a pic of someone else's board but with the missing connector circled -

Would love to get this game up and running.

Looks like the missing component is an SMD capacitor ... you should get it fixed before trying to wire anything else ;)

Apart the syncho problem, the game seems to run fine ...

If the capacitor isn't polarized, you'll have to use a capacitance meter.

Otherwise you'll have the value displayed in pF using 3 digits (XYZ) where :
- X is the first digit of the value
- Y the second digit
- Z the number of 0s

Ex: 114 = 11 0000 = 110nF

You can also have the alphanumerical form, starting by a letter for the value (A=1.0, E=1.5, etc.), followed by the number of 0s, and ended by another letter for the voltage (G=4.0,J=6.3,A=10, etc.)

yeah, I need to brush up on all my electronics stuff. like the color bands on resistors.... schematics... etc. lol

I swear ki2 likes to eat surface mount caps, i too have a ki2 board with a couple burnt up ones by the amplifier circuit. I had a great experience with my KI1 board and chad at arcadecup so this one will make it's way to him also once i have enough funds.

It's well worth the wait, let us know how it ends up :D

Mine will be joining his repair order que shortly.

Chad is the man, plan and simple.

Installed the IDE Module to the board, no big hard drive to mount now. Game works like a dream.
