I have been working on a KI "1" and everything is working but can not get the monitor to function the right way.
Things that have been done:
- The HDD has been replaced with a CF Card.
- The monitor was repaired buy the local TV shop.

Still have the same problem after doing this.

define: getting the "monitor to function the right way"

are you getting any picture at all and it's scrambled up? (this is either caused by a disconnected or intermittent Sync wire or your Vertical or Horizontal Sync on the remote adjustment board are out of adjustment.

post pics, your question is very vague.

KI-1 Monitor

The monitor looks like it has RF interference. Where the picture looks fine but when the names come up you can see the interference. I have added a line filter and disconnected the 120v fan that is in it and still have the same problem with it.

it the monitor a K7000?
use H sync only is so.

Is there a field ground hooked to the monitor frame? is there a ground plug on the power cord?

Disconnect the field gound wire from the chassis that usually is on the frame holding the chassis.

Mine did the exact same thing. The PS was failing. Put a new switcher in and it cleared up. Failing caps in the PS can put extra noise on the "lines".
