I picked up a nice Space Invaders this weekend. The control panel was loose, so Chip unscrewed the bar from the coin door. No keys to the back doors.
I tried reaching the bottom back lock from through the cabinet, but no luck. Wound up drilling it out.
I still need to open the top back lock, but don't really want to drill it out. I know that many of these older Bally/Midway cabinets used the same keys. Out of several I have, none of them would open this door.
I'd like to open it so I can remove the front glass and get rid of a bunch of spider webs.
Here are the key numbers I have tried unsuccessfully:
1158
1281
TUF-F1 w65
TUF-F1 07
a few cut blanks.
Anyone have a key that might fit?
I just found a few more, but can't try them until tonight:
1218
1455
1602
5127
TUF-F1 003
Anybody care to look at their Space Invaders back door keys and read me a number? Should I just chuck up the drill again?
K
