First off, this was just an attempt, i had issues cutting the word "keys" my software cutting preview didn't quite look like what it cut, so i have to go back and clean up some vectors, change the buttons on Mario just a little to keep it from chipping, make them a little thicker. I made dots on the left, so you can add those little hooks with the screw end. I can add 4 dots on the square part of the sign, so you can screw it to the wall etc..

Anyone like it? Does it suck? measures about 16" tall by roughly 20" wide. It's made from 3/4" melamine, all the machined areas can be painted to give it a real nice look. I have enough material to make about 4 of these after i make the corrections. Looking at 25.00 + shipping. tell me what you think!

I like it! Great job!

Nice price too.

Possibly channel a slot for T-molding on the sides that can take it?

Or give the person that option, so they can then add the color T-molding they want.

I'd take a Space Themed one. Space Invaders, Asteroids, Tempest, made up space/cosmic stuff, etc. I like Nintendo arcade machines, but I am just not a big fan of the Mario character. It always reminds me of console or DS stuff. Come up with a sweet space themed one, cut some channels for EL wire and I am in.

This sounds good to me too! Count me in on one like described above. Not a big fan of Mario either.

Right now all of my arcade keys are stored in a Glad sandwich storage box... :^P

"It'sa keeey! Maaario!"

You can do all sorts of things there. The fighter from Galaga would be good, the car from Spy Hunter, a guy on an ostrich for Joust....an almost limitless possibility.

I'd like to see the Tapper guy there, maybe with a cold mugga brew.

alright, i'll see what i can come with in the next day. thanks for the input! Brett

i just finished programming this one in. I found a .jpg of the tempest marquee, converted it to bitmap, then hand traced the lettering so it can be cut 1/8" wide and deep for El wire, and i made 25 dots for key hooks. Anyone like this?

Yeah... I like this idea a whole bunch!

Put me down for one too! I like the mario one, but I might wait until there are a few options. Either way, I'll buy one though. :p

would be tough phet.. with an 1/8 bit the lines have to be far enough apart to not break, and they also have to be big enough so you can tell what it is! I can put the square around it, with the rounded corners, so you could do a 2 color el wire to make it stand out more.. Here's Galaga, I had to edit the comet shape, or it would have looked like total ass carved out. I edited the seperation in the letters, so you can do 2 colors, one for the upper and lower half of the letters, like the marquee is. I will try and work on some tomorrow, kids are driving the GF batshit crazy, i gotta go parent for most of the night!

Now that me like.

If you're going back to redo another one, I'm just gonna point out the left (mario's left) button. Is that button supposed to be missing that roundness line? The one suggesting the button is rounded. The other button seems to have it.

Looks cool otherwise. I'm just mentioning it because I am being anal.

It broke off in the machining process that one thing I have to change so it doesn't break out again

Key holder!?!? For one key??? Heh...

I buy all the same keyed locks and use ONE key. It's elementary, watson.

HAPP 3001 will go far in my arcade. :)
