Poor Midway cab....(MK, Smash TV?)
Poor Street Fighter 2... no one can perform all of your moves...
Poor Tekken.. Damn Street Fighter 2 for stealing your control panel...

I took a bunch of pics of the fortune teller machines there. Would like to build a replica of one sometime, for the heck of it.

The water gun shooting gallery thing at Kennywood is worth the trip alone.

Meh...it's a modern fighter, who cares? :D
Looks like some of the classics have problems though...Pac-Man showing a grid, Moon Patrol showing garbage, Popeye looks like the screen is rolling.

I was just there a few weeks ago and saw some of there games were in need of some love...I always laugh cause ill say to the wife something about what a game needs while walking by and she just rolls her eyes....lol

Yeah, their classics normally aren't working.
Pacman was stuck in test mode (tried rebooting it when it was on the grid)
Last year Popeye had hum bars, this year rolling.
I've never seen their Pole Position running and Moon Patrol was working last time I went, but today frozen on a screen of garbage.

I got that same reaction from my wife today

Still, for that amount of games a fair number of them look like they're playing pretty good. Even marquee lights are working.

The midway cab was a Mortal Kombat 1 at one point in it's life. Probably the first point in it's life, lol.

I worked there for years and its sad what happened. The local boro, west mifflin, slammed the park with an amusement tax on their games. As a result they closed their other arcade that had mostly classics that couldn't make enough to justify paying the tax on them and were removed . My favorite games were the old penny and nickel games that were in lost Kennywood. These were also removed : (

The games that are on display are some of the old mechanical games that were in operation. They used to have an old working Atari fire truck up there as well but I don't see it now.

They need to get some of those games fixed, not paying their keep in their current condition. I offered about 8 yrs ago before the other arcade vanished, never got a response.

It sounds like they weren't paying their keep even when they DID work... amusement taxes are an evil, evil thing. That would beg the question, though, why they are there at all... if I wasn't making enough to make back tax, I would pull the game entirely.

Great Thread

Glad I found this thread - I was there yesterday and took pics, mostly crappy iPhone pics though.

All of their games appeared to be in great working order (including both Pole Potitions) except Night Driver, but the fact that they still have it out on the floor gives me hope that they'll revive it. Otherwise, the Aurcade listing is pretty accurate:

The only additions are Kangaroo, and Clutch Hitter in a Dynamo cab, a favorite of mine (and should be for any long suffering Pirate fan!)

Last time I was there, everything was acting up and there were probably 3 or 4 games not even turned on. It's a shame really. I'd offer to fix them up for one free admission to the park for the family and I, but I know they won't take me up on it.

Yeah, I saw that night driver and thought, NO WAY that works! ....and of course, they didn't disappoint. Somebody get out there and offer their services.
