Picked up an interesting machine recently. It's a game called Poker Ladies. I'm pretty sure this was a kit game.

The cabinet that it's in looks like a Taito but the bottom appears a little different.

There is an interesting name on the sides of the cabinet. It says Ken Anderson 1983.

The name looks like it was part of the side art design as it is professionally done.

I'm assuming this is the Game Plan executive Ken Anderson.

Just wondering if anyone has any info about this.

Could this be a special cabinet made back in the day for Ken Anderson?

Doubt it but there has to be an interesting story tied to this. :)

Pretty neat older era artwork for the side-art. Not too sure about the rest of the art though, lol. :D

Cool find! :)

For the record, the "Poker Ladies" stuff was made and released by a company called "Mitchell" and/or "Mitchell Corp.". That throws Game Plan itself out of the equation, although I don't think you were directly implying it I thought about it. Anybody know if this was before/after he took up his position at Game Plan? Hmm. Very interesting for sure, man!

I thought this thread was going to be about buying the collection of the former Bengals QB.

Looks like an old Taito cabinet to me. (Crazy Climber, Lock N Chase etc.) Maybe that's some type of conversion side art made specifically for those old Taito cabs.

^ Yep, that's my old Rastan machine I saved from an OP deal.

There are several differences, but usually you need another Taito cab to really see how different they are. There are subtle changes in the profile, as well as differences in the paint job. I didn't find a ton of info online on them, but they really are great cabs.

Thanks, now I miss my Rastan... :(

Ha!! Steve, that was EXACTLY what I was thinking. He played his college ball in my hometown, and that was what popped in my head when I saw the name. :)

I really like the Ken Anderson cabs.

I tend to dislike most generics, but the stripes and contours of the Ken Anderson cab look great in any line up.

There is a great full page for these cabs in a 1983 issue of RePlay magazine. It shows multiple cabs outfitted with kits like Mr. Do, Ponpoko, and Hot Shocker.

Kyle
