Anybody in the SF Bay have a working Tank? I sold my machine a few weeks ago. The new owner is having problems and I don't have any more time to help him - I'm moving out of state this week.

Here's the much abbreviated story:
- game was sold working, with very minor monitor ripple (but no hum bars)
- owner sent the working boards off to El Dorado games for "repair" (very long, sad, enraging story there)
- boards came back FUBAR, not working
- owner bought another supposedly working board set on ebay - they don't work in the cab
- the symptoms are similar enough that I'm thinking it's a cab issue - but what?

He's frustrated and ready to part the game out. Does anybody have a working game that Rick can test his boards in? He's in Santa Clara, CA and I'm sure he's willing to travel a reasonable distance. I can't help anymore, I'm already starting to panic on this move.

If anyone can help Rick, please call or email him directly. yellow57_AT_yahoo_com. cell: (408) 202-0439. Please save this game. It was at CAX this year and was working nicely. Don't let it be parted or junked! </DESPERATION>

is it just the wave in the monitor that is the issue?
not able to fix it im just curius why they sent the boards off sounds like it could be other things than that.

It was *not* things other than that. Just a slight ripple on the display. Game was running perfectly. Came back from Eldorado with severe issues. They claimed they didn't do anything to the board but I know better. I was the one that rebuilt that board to work for CAX. I have no idea if anything was done to the cab. But I really don't think so. AFAIK he just unplugged the harness from the boards and mailed them off. It was a newb error...severe impatience and lack of experience are a deadly combination.

Tank is a rough game to work on, imo. Eldorado shouldn't even accept that double boardset if they don't know what they're doing with that type of game. I struggled with my Tank for months.
