This is Kee Drag Race, 1977.

I've had this machine a few weeks but I've been busy trying to finish Canyon Bomber. I'll be discovering whats up with it as the thread goes along so prepare for some swearing.

Drag Race is a one or two player racing game (a drag race of course) where the player has to steer, time their shifting through four gears and accelerate using a gas pedal, all while watching their engine's RPMs on the tachometer. Steer out of your lane, lose time. Shift too slow or fast, lose time. Give it too much gas and you can pop a wheelie or worse, blow out your engine. You can also lose a heat by jumping the green 'go' light.

This was Kee Games' follow up to its smash hit Sprint II, released in '76 and extremely popular in arcades by '77. Kee re-used the Sprint II cabinet design with similar side art and a slightly altered control panel, adding tachometers and a slight bend.
