KDS6A? What is this?

I recently finished up cleaning my San Francisco Rush Alcatraz, and I'm having a problem with it randomly rebooting every 1-5 minutes.

I thought it was bad solder joint on the main PCB, so I tried resoldering several of the connections. That went fine, but when I flipped the board back over I saw that one of the electrical components on the front had broken one of the legs off (please forgive my ignorance, I'm pretty handy with an soldering iron from my R/C car racing days, but am not very familiar with the individual electrical components that make up a PCB). I'm guessing this is the cause of the problem since it seems to be intermittent.

The broken item has KDS6A stamped on it, and I have attached a photo of it. Does anyone know what this is, and where I can get it?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, that would be a crystal/oscillator

8.064 MHZ

Hope that helps...try the usual parts vendors...may take a phone call....

www.mouser.com

www.newark.com

Those are a few I use often....it might not be on their site but if you call they might be able to get ya all straightened out

Thanks for the info!

I went ahead and ordered this part from Mouser.

Mouser #: 549-C3391-8.064
Mfr. #: C3391-8.064
Desc.: Clock Oscillators 8.064MHz

Hopefully it's the right part...

Should work as long as the value is the same...let us know :)
