I know there was just a big battle about these cl postings in KC, but jesus fucking christ. KC gameroom and Thunderball have flooded it out to where they are the only people on there. You guys a both a joke for making it unusable.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen legitimate ads getting flagged or removed. The battle was ridiculous and seems to have died. From what I see, KGGR and Thunderball are just advertising their games and services and they aren't overposting or overdoing it. Unlike someone else who frequently overposted, posted daily, and insinuated poor service by others.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of games being offered up for sale. That isn't the fault of KCGR or Thunderball. How could it be their fault?

I have no dog in this race. I just peruse KC CL like everyone else and I haven't seen a problem. Am I missing something?

KCGR and Thunderball, IMO, do not abuse CL. Although Thunderball carries machines that I am generally not into, I do like to read their ad when they post. I do wish KCGR would regularly list a few games in their ads.

I do think that K&M posted a bit too often, but they have cut back on the number of posts. I like that they list some games they have available, but the list doesn't change very often.

I use to see ads from Palmentere sometimes, but not in a while.

I would say my biggest gripe is that I have noticed some of the local businesses are not exactly the best about replying to my CL questions.

I kind of wish Craig's List and Kijiji would stick to strictly personal listings, and limit posting to only individuals.

I'm probably alone in this thinking, but it gets kind of cluttered having local businesses posting ads...

I guess I haven't really noticed much on there lately, everything seems to be pretty normal now. There just aren't that many games on there period honestly. What I find funny is how many people are looking at the ads but don't really care about the items. I had 150 people look at those backglasses I put up for sale, not one response on any of them. If anyone would have emailed me and said "I'll give you $75 for all of them" I would have said 'SOLD', lol.

I've put games on there in the past at good prices and gotten zero responses. Then I put a Whitewater on there and all hell breaks with the amount of emails I get, lol. But a Twilight Zone I listed last spring I heard crickets for the most part. It's really bizarre.

Just wish that there were more games on there. I honestly have stopped checking it as much, too many people waiting to pounce on the deals (and there never are any anymore).

LOL yeah I know what you mean... I tihnk it's time to start flagging all of Bob Frantik's ads for spam... he doesn't have a showroom, per se, but he could at least cycle out some of the machines he's got up in Harbour Spas. He's had the same pins there for about 3 months now. Demo man, I think something like King Kong? (vintage 70's), and another DMD.

The price isn't -that- bad on them, but if he wants to keep buyers fresh, he really should cycle the inventory from time to time.

Edit: Sorry to thread jack you, Alky. Rant away!

I had listed games for sale in the past that never got flagged. Only luck I had was selling my harlem globetrotters to someone in lee's summit. I rarely got any replys otherwise. I think the pinball wanted adds piss me off the most.

lol. I guess its like others said. Maybe there just arent many postings right now and it looks they they have it locked down. I swear I didnt see any other ads but theirs.

I have a store in KC thats why I check it. I also check Tulsa and OKC, Anywhere I have guys, I look. Ive scored pins and arcades for people on here that ask me to keep an eye out as well because I am always searching for something.

Have you been to Bob's house? He definitely had a showroom last time I was there. I guess the term "show room" is subjective but he's got like 20 pins set up in a dedicated area so I think that qualifies :)

If you have cash to spend drop me a line before buying something overpriced and under shopped in Red Deer. I just might have some better deals.

Thanks Lindsey, maybe I'll have to give Bob a call just to play on some real pinballs for a bit, these Visual Pinball tables can only get a guy so far before he needs a REAL fix :p

As for me buying I think Dean could fill you in on the details there :p

Hmmm, your supposed to use CL to post ads, even wanted ads. Who are we to police unless it is a real violation, such as posting the same ad over and over again. Nothing is more irritating than getting flagged when you did nothing wrong per the CL rules. Thats my opinion

Sometimes if there is a steal on CL, people will flag the add so only a few know about it, others just have too much time on their hands and want to be a douche.
