This component broke off the board. RA should be a resistor array, common part, right? Well the component markings are RCDM-14 and JRM 5905. I get nothing in searches for this, other than JRM is Japanese Resistor manufacturing. I've looked through the schematics a few times, and RA13 is not in there. However, RA1 and RA2 are shown twice. Lack of a parts list doesn't help.

So...can anyone tell me what this is??? I've attached pictures.

It certainly looks like a resistor pack. Do you have a meter to test it and see what the pins output?

I did a google search and found nothing on it, other than this thread!

No that it helps... but this appears to be a hybrid circuit.
Just based on component outlines on the bottom - I can make out two tantalum capacitor outlines underneath that bottom coating.

This may be a real bugger to locate.

There is enough metal remaining on the legs that you can solder linker wires to it, you may need to use hot glue or velcro to fix the package to the board firmly, then you can just join up the wires again. Have done it many times for SIP packages like this.

That thing looks like it "rusted" rather than "busted" off the board. If it is not repairable, it might be possible to cut the black stuff off. I see what looks like a tantalum capacitor inside, along with some other stuff. If you can't replace the exact part, maybe you can replace the individual parts.

If you do open it up, I'd like to see what's inside -- please post another picture if you do.

Send it to me with the board and I will get it fixed right up.
Actually....I might have a junk karate champ board out in storage if all else fails. That looks like it will be a simple repair, no need to replace the part.
