Kansas City (Grandview) Auction 9-12-10

I saw you bidding on the DK mini. Don't feel bad about losing it, Monty's wife loves those things. He probably would've bid just about anything for it.
Yeah, I had a feeling that I wasn't going to get it, there was no hesitation in the bids :p Bummer, but hopefully that will go into a private collection rather than flipped at Christmas time.

Hmmm, I would said hi if I would have seen most of you. I got the rolling thunder for $65. Other than a loose cord, some dirt, and replacing the joystick with an Atari original, it looks fantastic all cleaned up (plus fun as hell). I was shocked seeing the T2 going for so little, it was damn near mint (the guns were superb). The Virtua cop for $100? I shoulda bid on it. My friend got the Gauntlet Legends for $400. Again, really good prices overall. Glad to see that no one cares for the multicades (only 1 sold). Hopefully that means good cabs won't get hacked up to put in a terrible bootlegs with bad sound. The DK mini was beautiful. All in all there were great prices, with only a few going into stupid territory.

The next one is usually right after Thanksgiving, which is a terrible time for it, so most likely I won't see any of you till the spring auctions.

Ha, Rob and I were talking about that T2, it was nice, but I could never own one with the noise those guns make, I want a friend to own one! :D I would have bid on a bunch of stuff if I had room for it, that Virtua Cop was nice and the price was fantastic. I've seen a lot of those Gauntlet Legends go through, but they always seem to have monitor troubles. That one was nice.
