I didn't see any posts about the Kansas City (Grandview) auction from today, 9-12-10, so here are some of my thoughts.

I recall seeing the following there and I did not get any prices, since I left as the auction was starting.

- Outrun UR (x2, working, bad monitors)
- Qix UR (missing bezel and monitor, but complete otherwise & in good condition!)
- Spy Hunter (complete, nice, working, but car pulled hard to the right/left)
- Donkey Kong mini (original mini cab, nice, working 100%)
- Rolling Thunder (dedicated cab, some wear, working)
- Mini Multicade (60-in-1 in a converted Rally-X mini! Arg!)
- 3 or 4 Multicade CTs (various artwork)
- 3 or 4 Multicade UR (various cabs, including CC Dynamo)
- Tetris (Atari, in conversion cab, working)
- Cruisin' CP (working, monitor colors were weak)
- Exotica' CP (working, monitor was faded & very fuzzy, non-focused)
- Zaxxon UR (working, but locked so couldn't play, some cabinet wear)
- Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command (from Team Play or the like, working, worn)
- T2 (working, decent condition)
- Starblade CP (working, good condition, different cab than two on KLOV)
- MKII (working, washedout monitor, converted Taito cab)
- Baseball II UR (non-working, converted WoW cab)
- Bowling UR (working, converted Pac-Man cab)
- Outrunners (dual game, working, some cosmetic issues, including marquee)

If I remember more I will post them. Of these cabinets, I would have liked to get a few, but today was not the day. :(

Ah, I would have loved to see that! :> Did anyone get a picture of it?

As big of a game as Starblade is, I am surprised it went for that much. If I had room for it I would have bid on it since it's a fun game.

How did I miss this post??? Yes, details, please....

I forget to mention the pinballs, but the only one I played was Getaway. It seemed to be mostly working, except for having only one pinball! The game would have to hunt for the ball each time it was missed by the player (at the bottom with the flippers). This made for a slow game. :)

We have a forum specifically for auctions, and there are already two threads in there about this topic :p I'll move this thread into the proper section, but leave a pointer.

Also, the Crusin went for a lot more than 85, check out the prices on my site.

Hmm... just noticed that some of my auction pages are dead... Not sure what happened there, I'll have to figure this out. :(

I got the cruis'n exotica for the $375. Wound up being $455 after fees and tax but still a decent deal. It was in a cruis'n usa cab but at least had the upgraded sideart and marquee. I didn't even know the sideart was exotica because it was packed in there so tight you couldn't see the sides. I'll throw out some pics tonight. It would have went for more if whoever sold it would have taken 5 minutes and adjusted the monitor. I got home and adjusted the focus and screen on the flyback and it made a fantastic picture. At the auction it was white and fuzzy. You gotta like people who know nothing about this kinda stuff. It was good to see splattergatz, Scott, etc. Some nice people in this hobby. I thought the starblade game was really cool, I had never played one before. I would of considered it but my lord that thing was huge! Definately a buyers market. Welove80's, hopefully can say hey next time you make it up. Some really rough cabs in my opinion, that's why the cheap prices on a lot of these. I thought the t2 went too cheap. It's a pretty cool game. I would of liked the hydro thunder but it bid up to $550 and didnt' sell. I gotta sell some stuff to make room for my exotica now in my shop arcade. Se ya'll next time.

Definitely a buyer's market. Tons of stuff went for 100 or below. There just wasn't a whole lot I was interested in, unfortunately.

Sorry FMonk for posting this in the wrong section and thanks for moving it, plus fixing the other links.

If I had the room I would have gone home with several classics, but alas nothing... My specific want items just don't seem to be showing-up. :( Thanks for the update on the Exotica and I am glad to hear the monitor was an easy fix. I spoke to the owner of the Cruisin' about their desired price, so I am curious what it actually brought. Some day I will find a nice USA or World local to me (reasonably priced).

Leave it on for awhile and see if it goes out of focus on its own. If so, its flyback time. You probably have a Neotec monitor and this seems to be a common problem with them.

Don't worry about it, it's no big deal. ;) This forum is a bit down on the listings, so it's easy to overlook.

More of you guys should have said hello! I was wearing the KLOV shirt like promised, and I also don't bite! :p

I saw you bidding on the DK mini. Don't feel bad about losing it, Monty's wife loves those things. He probably would've bid just about anything for it.

Heck, a Rolling Thunder for $65? I would have bought that with no thought, I loved that game. I really should have went, but it fell in between paydays and I still have another transaction to finish up. As long as the next one doesn't fall in the dead of winter, I'll have to make the next one.

Left it on about 30 minutes and still perfect, but i do know these flybacks are known to go. Had a cruis'n world that did the same thing. Hopefully i got lucky this time and it will stay. They had a outrunners there that was a piece of ____, unfortunately it's not easy to find parts for these so whoever got that has a big project. I did finally hear from the guy that bought my extra outrunners, he'd lost all his #'s when his cell phone died. Still hasn't piced them up though. See ya'll at the next auction.

Hmmm, I would said hi if I would have seen most of you. I got the rolling thunder for $65. Other than a loose cord, some dirt, and replacing the joystick with an Atari original, it looks fantastic all cleaned up (plus fun as hell). I was shocked seeing the T2 going for so little, it was damn near mint (the guns were superb). The Virtua cop for $100? I shoulda bid on it. My friend got the Gauntlet Legends for $400. Again, really good prices overall. Glad to see that no one cares for the multicades (only 1 sold). Hopefully that means good cabs won't get hacked up to put in a terrible bootlegs with bad sound. The DK mini was beautiful. All in all there were great prices, with only a few going into stupid territory.

The next one is usually right after Thanksgiving, which is a terrible time for it, so most likely I won't see any of you till the spring auctions.
