Kangaroo, Cabaret? Real or conversion

It's not a cabaret, though. It's full-sized. bit didn't it have full side art instead of that wood-grain?

The cab sure does look nice, not big on Kangaroo though - might be worth it to someone that collects harder to find machines.

Any idea how many of this style cab were made? Opposed to the original U.S. Kangaroo

Yes, that is an Atari Irish cabinet, made in the only cabinet size for that market. They are known as "Euro" cabinets. The black paint along the bottom is not original, however.

Atari made other games (Fast Freddie, Black Widow, Dig Dug and Gravitar) in that same cabinet, but that doen't show-up too often here in the states. They also made Pole Position II, Popeye (Yes!) and Millipede euros, but the cabinets are different.

Millipede, PPII, Gravitar, Popeye and Black Widow have full sideart, while Fast Fredde came in both woodgrain with a sticker and full side-art.

Any questions? :)
