Kangaroo and PETA

People laugh or shrug it off, but I think this whole movement against "hate speech" is nothing but a backdoor way of abolishing freedom of speech and imposing tyranny. You listen to some of these granola goose-steppers and "hate speech" is literally anything that doesn't march in total lockstep with them.

It's like how some of these gangs of rioting thugs have "anti-fascist" in their titles, which would be like if the Nazis had claimed to be anti-genocide or ISIS anti-fanaticism, even George Orwell would cringe at this point.

Anyway that's my last comment on the subject, I keep violating my own no-politics on KLOV rule, but this struck major nerves with me.

Its "the wave" all over again.

People used to think this line of thought was conspiracy theory.

It's using social media and all news is fake to MAKE people think a certain way.

I wouldn't say "fake", per se... but more like "highly edited for content", to put a spin on it... which, will either trigger you, or reinforce ideas you already had.

As Obi-Wan Kenobi once said, "You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to, depend greatly on our own point of view."

In before the move!! :D

The funny part about that, is the blatant hypocrisy demonstrate by both sides(on the extreme, of course). Moderates tend to see through the bullshit, and just sit back shaking their heads.

I'm a huge supporter of free speech, and yes, that includes "hate speech", and speech that I disagree with. So, even those idjits that are screaming bloody murder about being triggered, fascism, racism, etc.... are all protected under the same blanket.

That was the hilarious thing about the whole... what was that football player's name again? The one that sat out the national anthem? Anyway... I talked to many veterans who, while disagreeing with his statement, said pretty soundly that "He has that right, and I served to make sure that he had that right. It doesn't matter if I like it or not, just that we all have that freedom. What good is having a freedom, if you're not allowed to use it?"

That last line, is probably the best way to sum up everyone's position. I may not like what someone is protesting about, BUT, as long as they are doing it peacefully, I support their right to do so.

That doesn't mean you can't "counter protest" their position. Have at it. But don't turn it violent. That's when the line is crossed, and that's when you risk losing the freedom you have.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore cya

hoooo boy

i love a good shitpost as much as the next internet troll, but let's keep this civil and non-political

liberal ... conservative ... can't we all just hate PETA together?

What else are they supposed to be spending there time doing, with all of the other problems of the world already solved and all...

There's nothing else to do.

wouldn't Zookeeper be PETA's most hated arcade game? your one goal in the game is to enslave every animal possible for the sole purpose of amusing humans

I wonder if PETA has played Breath of the Wild yet. In that game, you literally slaughter animals to get meat to cook. It might make their brains explode.
