Hey all, I have a Golden Tee 2005 Complete that is running well. I recently was considering this for a mame cabinet and found that I was running the game in low res mode. As the 7502 is a medium resolution monitor I tried to pop the switch on the game board for medium res and get the typical out of range scrolling mess. Any ideas on this?

Truly I could care less about the Golden tee, but what I want to know is what resolution can I expect to run off my Mame PC with an ArcadeVGA video card? If I can at least get 640x480 I would be happy but if not any recommendations on good replacements for cheap?

Thank you all for any help!

Note: I guess I am also asking if there is any way that this monitor needs to be put into med res mode in the same fashion that the U5000 can be put from std to med.

1) the K7502 is medium-res only, and can't be switched.

2) Either you misread your dip switch instructions and it was running in medium-res mode already, or you don't have a K7502 - regardless of whatever label you say it has.

3) MAME question are better asked on a MAME forum. They would know whether the ArcadeVGA is configurable to run with your monitor.

Personally, I'd find a different monitor if you DO have a medium-res monitor. Medium-Res monitors are worth a little more if you sell it, and MAME really doesn't need a med-res monitor to run. Hell, a TV with S-Video in and an appropriate S-Video-out video card will work just fine...

You can get 640x480i (i for interlaced) on a std res chassis. 1024x768i on a med. It takes some modeline munging though, not sure if it's even doable on Windows, and your graphics card's drivers may be a limitation.
