U2000 vert colapse-ish problem.

I'm working on this 25" U2000 standard res monitor. It had a pretty compressed (vert) image so I capped it.

Now I can max the vert out but the problem is that I have an uneven issue where the sections toward the top of the screen are longer than sections toward the bottom. Like a pixel is one size on the bottom, double it's size in the middle of the screen and 3X at the top.

I hope this makes sense. Any help figuring out this issue would be really helpful and appreciated.

EDIT: Correction on the model number.

1) That can't be a 7501, as it's med-res only and the board you are using for testing does not output a med-res signal. If it IS a 7501, then that's probably the problem - the wrong input signal.

2) If you actually have a U5000, U2000, or K7400, I ran into a similar issue a while back. Check the last Symptom of this post:

Not sure if you did a COMPLETE cap kit or not, and you may need a new vert IC (U601) if you did...

OK, thanks mod... I know it's one of those in that series but they all look similar and I can never tell the exact model number. I thought this was the standard res one.

I was piecing the cap kit together and I got all of them but one 100 uf that i'll change tomorrow. I didn't think it was in the Vert section however ... I'll see.

Looks like a U2000 (Standard-res). Does it have a sticker in the back left corner that says WGM2520 or something like that?

yeah I believe so... I can never tell with their naming conventions and part numbers.

Thanks Mod, you are the champ!
