I am working on a WG K7500 and it looks like the OP has cut out the 2 Caps at Location C124 and C125 If I read the Schematics correct these are .0022uF 400 Volt Metal Film caps?

The Chassis worked OK but needed a Cap kit (that's when I found these missing)

Are they "Needed" ?? As I don't have any on hand and would like to put the machine back together.

i looked but i only have the k7500 100% nichicon 105c cap kits but no .0022uf caps. i didn't see anything at mouser in stock either.

they have them in stock but they have a 20.00 minimum.

i have bought from them many years ago and they did good but they didn't have the minimum back then.

Thanks for the reply. I actually installed a 7500 Kit I got from you in this monitor.

Like I said it was working but in need of a kit (it had the jitters ect... colors were funny)

But it was OK after it warmed up some. I just was not wanting to pull it out from the wall as it is jammed between 2 other sit down games and its kind of a B*^ch to get out and in the back of.
I was doing other game fixes today so I thought it was a good time to just do it.

These would not be in any cap kit as there Metal film or Ceramic Disc type caps, There Blue Discs at least they were from what was left of the cut off legs I seen.
The Schematics from WG was a bit blurry using MS Edge to view the PDF, while blowing it up to read components.

None the less I reinstalled the chassis and it is again working nicely, no more jitters ect...
Just those missing parts worried me.

I looked on a few of my U5000 chassis and there not there on those chassis so....

Necro-bumping and old thread because I'm working on a K7500, and C124 and C125 were clipped on mine, too.

Weird that someone else saw the same issue. Are those two film caps necessary? Was this some sort of mod or fix from back in the day?

They are used as noise suppressors on the AC lines. If you have a parts K7000 chassis (but many others too) you can take them from there (C60 and C61).

Thanks. I will pick some up with my next parts order.

I was more curious as to why they would be clipped off of an otherwise complete chassis, especially since someone else saw the same thing. I guess it's just a coincidence.
