i picked a blitz cab a wile ago and was told the monitor diden't work but played blind. took it home and dident turn it on as i diden't want to damage any thing further with the monitor.

so what i have done is a cap kit a cap kit with the exception of 3 caps and the filter cap witch i will replace when i get some on the next cap order. but i also noticed that it did not have the little up rite satlite board that's next to the big black heat sink that has the hot and the other transister on it. so i got one from a parts chassis and put it on. then i noticed that just above it and to the left that R402 was burnt up. so i replaced it.

my thought is because it did not have the little satilite board is that what probally caused the resistor to burn up in the first place.

my question is before i hook it up to the tube and test it is there any thing else to check that mite be bad because that resistor was burn't up or am i good to go to try it. i have checked the hot its good checked that other little transister and its good the chassis fuse did not blow. flyback is not cracked it looks good.

any other things to check would be great i don't wanna blow any thing else to try and have to find later.

That little board is for the pincushion, and should have no affect on R402. R402 is part of the vertical deflection circuit. If it burned up, and you haven't tested the monitor yet, you may check U601 (shorts), R303 (open) and D302 (short) to see if they are all right before you do so...
