So I had this monitor in our Ms. Pac and it had washed out colors. We put it on the shelf and replaced it with a working monitor so we could fix it later. About a month later we got a cap kit for it and went through trying to find specific caps that were in the vicinity of the colors (to see if we could fix the washed out colors problem) and when we plugged it back in, it started arcing, IIRC it was on the neck of the tube. I figure this was due to the fact that we forgot to hook up the ground wire at some point.
Anyway, skip to today and I fixed everything up. I checked for bad solder joints and didn't find any. We put the chassis back in and plugged the monitor in, and powered the cab on. It sparked and died pretty much immedaitely, and now I'm not getting any neck glow. Turns out I had it sitting on the metal case that was serving as the ground for that monitor, so I'm pretty sure I fried this chassis. My next question is, where do I go from here in order to fix this? Or should I even bother?
