I picked up a Ms. Pac-man Galaga Reunion Cabaret today and it plays blind. It has a k7203 in it and when you power up the game the monitor just keeps making this clicking sound and does not power up. Please let me know if you have any idea what is going on with this. PEACE Bart

How skilled are you with monitors? Do you understand the concept of a HOT? It sounds like the HOT might be blown. Check that first, if you need help checking it, post back here, and we can step you through it.

Flyback and hot. Seems like you may have a crack in your flyback and can hear the electric jolts when it pulses. Have you inspected the flyback?

Clicking in chassis, not from flyback

I am having this problem now with a K7203 in my dedicated Bump N Jump arcade

I found another chassis on a cracked monitor someone gave me and got it fired up!!! Thanks for your advise. PEACE

I'm glad you were able to get yours fixed, but now Im having the same problem haha and dont have an extra chassis :(

I know my way around electronics but not with arcades, I have already recapped the chassis and replaced the flyback and still have the clicking sound. I am not too familiar with the HOT and could you walk me through the steps to check it, i have a multimeter and soldering station at home and just need to be pointed in the right direction. I also managed to get a schematic of the chassis and really want to fix this problem so i can keep playing my games lol

it should test the same as a K7000.

to test the H.O.T. put your meter on diode or continuity test.
black lead on the center leg of the H.O.T. and red to both outside legs.
.400 ish on the outer legs is what you want to see.

should be part # 2sc5297 location Q503. it will be on one of the large heat synks.
