K7000s - kicking my butt!

What were those "other things"?? I'm not blowing fuses at this point :)
 
I know, and I plan on getting one next time I place a BR order. Since that may be a while, this has served me well.

What other things? Well...after replacing several shorted components in the power supply section (HOT, fly, C36, C38, D18) I left it on slightly longer than usual considering the lightbulb was glowing very brightly. Then it suddenly went dim. At first I thought that I'd blown something, but then the monitor fired up.

I'll check your thread to see what's going on.
 
Ugh...you know those problems that stare you in the face and you can't see the solution because you think it's everywhere else?

They're fixed. Both of them. They have been for a while, and I didn't realize it.

Remember I posted that I was using the lightbulb trick in place of a fuse? I totally forgot that a lightbulb has a massive amount of resistance. Once I realized that, and replaced it with an actual fuse...B+ right where it's supposed to be, perfect picture.
