Hey,

I have a pc10 with a k7000a which is blown and I am replacing it with an ez20.

I know the ez20 takes 100v, but what about the k7000a that it originally came with? Can I just drop this in?

Thanks,

Matt

look in the bottom of the cab at how the transformer is wired.
there is a set of terminals leave the ground alone. there is a 100v and 120v lug you may need to change that to 100v.

the plastic cover will just lift off if you pry it easy strait up.

after that you should be good to go.
measure the out put of the transformer in all 3 outlets to make sure you have got it wired correct.

The K7000A was typically a 120vac monitor. All you really need to do is put a meter on the monitor power connector to see what voltage it's at. If it's at 100vac, it may have had something to do with the K7000A not running properly. If it's at 120vac, then you'll need to check the isolation transformer as buffett mentioned to make the necessary changes before using the 20EZ.

And if someone tapped into the 120 plug at the bottom for the K7000A power instead of using the iso, that would explain why the K7000A is blown...

I didn't see any other leads or plastic covers over the transformer.. It looks like I am getting 128v AC at the power lead.

Do I need a new transformer?

Thank you. I have attached some pictures. Actually, from looking at them myself, I believe I see additional taps on the bottom of the transformer. Would those be where I should look?

Also, any source for a transformer that will work for this?

under that black cover with the wing nuts. there is where the taps to change the voltage are.

then you can cut the output wire from the iso off that's going to the K7000a and put a regular 2 prong female receptacle on it and plug the sanyo into it.

before you plug the monitor in check the voltage.
