Anybody have any idea why a K7000 would slowly get darker? Is my tube crapping out?

I have a street fighter II I put a capkit and new flyback in a few months ago, now it seems like everyday it's getting slightly darker. Any ideas on where I should start with that?

I'm thinking it may be a tube issue, that would suck!

If you can turn your screen control all the way up and still not to bright.
Measure the screen voltage its the small red lead coming from the fly
to neck board.
Also check the filament voltage on the neck board.
it comes from the fly's windings should be around 5 - 6 v's ac.
Ohm out the path between the fly pins and neck board filament pins,
for any bad connections. If voltage good then try rejuvenator.

if brightness adjustment doesent work , assuming all your new parts are good id say yeah the tube is prolly slowly going to pot on ya..

O.K., so I finally got my hands on this monitor today, the heater voltage measured low. Resistor was fine, swapped out the flyback, same problem.

IT WAS THE DAMN CAP on the neckboard. I'd replaced it before for the guy, but swapped in a new one, and BAM the brightness is perfect again. SO, if you have a brightness problem, if you look the heater voltage runs right through that electrolytic cap on the neckboard!
