I'm working on another 25" K7000 and this one shows signs of life but the symptoms are the same after a Cap kit. I wasn't sure the caps were it but took a shot anyways. Now I'm thinking that it's one of the ICs or a broken pot. I've tried all of the adjustments. I've also tried a different remote board.

Has anyone a clue where to start with this one?

thanks again for any help one could provide.

Your horizontal isn't locking in. Either you don't have the syncs hooked up right, or there is a cold solder joint somewhere, or something similar. Did you check where the wires from the remote board connect to the chassis? It's pretty common for them to break there, or to have cold solder joints where they connect.

ok, I reflowed the whole area, swapped out the Hoz Sync pot, checked every wire on the remote board. Tried 3 different remote boards...

nothing makes a difference. The chassis is the same as others I've tested with the same setup... can't be my sync wires on my test rig either.

Any other ideas?

Yeah I test the same type of monitor on this setup many times before. The wires have to be correct.
